In the event of malfunction or damage, a patron may need to exchange a non- or semi-functional laptop for a fully functional one. To do this, report the malfunction or damage to the Tech Lending Specialist via email. They’ll provide a form to fill out (and in the case of damage, assess liability) and schedule a time to swap out the laptop.

The due date will remain the same.

When meeting to exchange laptops, the patron will fill out a form to acknowledge the state of both the laptop being turned in and the new one.

Remember to download all personal files to an external drive, as laptops are wiped and reset upon return.
