Request a Book

All UGA students, faculty, and staff can request and borrow books from UGA Libraries, and from other libraries using the GIL-Express service and Interlibrary Loan.

 

Request a book pickup from UGA Libraries

Use the GIL-Find Catalog to search for a book at one of the UGA Libraries. Sign-in to request an item for pickup at your preferred library location. You will be notified by email when the requested items are available for you to pick up.

Request a book delivery (faculty only)

Faculty can have books delivered to their campus address using our faculty delivery form.

Alternatives:

If a book is unavailable at UGA, you have two options:

  • Request a book via GIL-Express

    If a book is unavailable at UGA, you can use the GIL-Express service to request available items from other University System of Georgia (USG) libraries. GIL-Express requests typically take 3-5 days.

  • Request a book via Interlibrary Loan

    If a book is unavailable at UGA, you can also request it via Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan requests take on average 8 days.
