Access to Georgia County Aerial Photographs

Requests for aerial photography

All requests for photographs in the Georgia Aerial Photography collection must be submitted to the Aerial Photograph Request Form. Requests are limited to one (1) location/address per request and five (5) requests per week (Monday-Friday); requests can include multiple years.

A digital copy will be delivered if available. Increasingly, digital photos are available for download in the Georgia Aerial Photography Collection. Please note that the availability of an index is not an indicator that individual photographs are available for a particular location/year.

Access to the physical aerial photographs

Effective January 2025, an appointment is required for any researcher needing on-site assistance with the Georgia Aerial Photography collection, which includes any request for access to the physical photographs.

To make an appointment, please e-mail mapsinfo@uga.edu with the date and time of your planned visit and a staff member will contact you with a confirmation. You should also submit a photo request using our Aerial Photograph Request Form and comment that you will be visiting in person.
