Research and GIS Services
Research
Staff in the Map and Government Information Library are on hand to assist with locating resources in our collection, both print and online. Researchers are encouraged to independently explore our holdings in the catalog and to submit specific questions to the UGA Libraries’ contact form.
An appointment is required for in-depth research assistance on-site and can be scheduled by contacting us at mapsinfo@uga.edu. If in-depth research is required and patrons are not able to perform that work on-site, the UGA Libraries maintains a list of Independent Researchers for Hire who are willing to conduct research for a fee.
GIS Services
GIS Librarian Meagan Duever offers research and instructional support across multiple GIS platforms, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS StoryMaps, QGIS, and geospatial R packages. Her services include assistance with the discovery, access, and integration of spatial data for research and academic assignments, as well as support for software and data troubleshooting, cartographic design, and map production. To schedule GIS assistance, please contact her at duever@uga.edu.
