Curator's Tour: Bulldog Olympians

Join Jason Hasty, UGA Athletics History Specialist, for a closer look at the new exhibit "Bulldog Olympians: A Celebration of UGA's Olympic History" at 3PM on Fridays before each home football game. Tours are free and open to the public, no reservation is required. Parking is available in the Hull Street Deck.

Curator's Talk: Athens Potluck

Join the Hargrett Library on Friday, September 20 at 3:00 p.m. for a talk with photographer Jason Thrasher, curator of the new exhibition Athens Potluck. His presentation will detail the story behind his 2017 book which inspired the exhibition, and his continued work with musicians in Athens, Georgia. This event is free and open to the public; a light reception will follow. Parking is available in the Hull Street Deck.

Food, Power, Politics 2024: Food Banks and Their Increasing Global Necessity

Join the Russell Library on Thursday, October 10th, from 5:30pm-7:00pm, for the fifth annual Food, Power and Politics Lecture with Dr. Daniel N. Warshawsky from Wright State University. He will deliver a talk on food banks, their origin, and what factors go into the pressing, and increasing, global need for them. Dr. Leah Carmichael will moderate.  

A Conversation with Senator Saxby Chambliss and General Arnold Punaro

Join the Russell Library on Tuesday October 22nd, from 11am-12pm, for a conversation with former U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss and retired Marine Corps General Arnold Punaro for an insightful conversation on the state of American foreign policy and national defense in 2024 and beyond. Maryann Gallagher, Director of the Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Program (SLP), will moderate the event.
