Intro to Text Analysis with Python
Join Ph.D. student and RCDM RA Brent Peterson for a zoom-only workshop on text analysis with Python. This session will provide a gentle introduction to working with textual data in Python with a focus on normalization and analysis. Participants should have the latest version of Python and Jupyter Notebooks installed.
Intro to Zotero
Join this in-person class session to learn how to:
- Organize your Zotero Library
- Attach and annotate PDFs
- Export references from GoogleScholar and UGA Databases to Zotero
- Insert in-text citations and full references from Zotero Library into a Word Document
- Make a quick bibliography
Curator Talk with Sara Idacavage
Join the Hargrett Library on Thursday, March 20th at 6:00pm for a talk with Sara Idacavage, curator of our newest exhibition From Farms to Fast Fashion: Unraveling the Need for Sustainable Style. Her presentation will detail the history of fashion production, as well as consumption, in the United States, dating back to the 1800s.
This event is free and open to the public; a light reception will follow.

Pet Button Making workshop
Join us on March 18th from 11am-12pm in the McBay Science Library Makerspace (room 381) for a drop-in button making workshop led by an undergraduate peer! Print photos of your pets, or any of your furry friends during the workshop and use our button maker to make a pin! You can put your pin on your backpack, clothes, use it as decor, and more! This session will be run by makerspace student assistant, Lindsey Isenberg. We hope to see you there!
