Join the UGA Special Collections Libraries for a special conversation with 2024 Georgia Writers Hall of Fame Inductee Barbara Brown Taylor and Widespread Panic’s John Bell on Thursday, September 26th at 7:00PM at the UGA Special Collections Building. Barbara Brown Taylor is an author, American Episcopal priest, and academic who has been writing about faith and spirituality for over 30 years. John Bell has been writing and performing music with Widespread Panic since 1986.
Moderated by David Barbe, director of the University of Georgia Music Business Program, Brown and Bell will discuss writing, inspiration, and living in a small rural town in northeast Georgia. Following the conversation and a Q&A with the audience, Barbara Brown Taylor will be formally inducted into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame and light refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required and limited.
