Instruction Requests
Our instructional approach focuses on the competencies required to succeed in an academic research environment and the broader complex information ecosystem. Our goal is to integrate information and other literacies (digital, data, and AI) into the UGA curriculum in a sustainable and scalable manner. We are excited to partner with course instructors, and we offer a variety of instructional resources and approaches that can help learners achieve their research goals and help instructors meet their learning objectives.
To support this approach, we aim to:
- Collaborate with instructors to embed and scaffold in-person and online information literacy instruction into classes, eLC, and other learning environments.
- Create tutorials, videos, guides, and other learning objects that will provide multi-model support for students.
- Offer workshops, both online and in-person, on a variety of research skills topics.
-
Consult with instructors to craft engaging research assignments and activities that promote research skills, critical thinking, and the critical appraisal of sources. We also consult with and support instructors who want to provide their own information literacy and research skills instruction.
