Introduction to RefWorks
Learn how to use RefWorks, an incredibly helpful citation management software for researchers and writers provided by the UGA Libraries. RefWorks allows you to save citations from databases, organize them, attach PDFs, and then format and insert the citations into Word or Google Documents in one of 15,000 different citation styles.
Undergraduate instructed workshop, Becoming comfortable using a sewing machine
Learn different stitches, speed control, and seam allowance in this intermediate skills sewing machine workshop. Undergraduates, Caroline Solomon and Casey Serrano, will teach this workshop. Come learn from your peers at the McBay Science Library Makerspace!

Join us for a fun and thought-provoking faculty and student panel on ChatGPT. This panel includes five UGA faculty members and one student from different areas and disciplines across campus. Troubling Performance Symposium
This one-day symposium will consider representations of race in performance in connection to the work of visual artist Kara Walker, who’s exhibition “Back of Hand” will be on display at the Athenaeum. Taking Walker as a departure point, invited speakers will address themes related to rethinking Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, satire, stereotypes, gender, and identity. The Keynote Speaker is Kirsten Pai Buick, professor of art history, University of New Mexico.
Donald L. Hollowell: Foot Soldier for Equal Justice Screening
In celebration of Black History Month, join us Tuesday, February 21, 2023, for a screening of Donald L. Hollowell: Foot Soldier for Equal Justice. This documentary chronicles the civil rights attorney's legendary achievements, including serving as lead counsel in Charlayne Hunter-Gault and Hamilton Holmes's case which ultimately ended desegregation at the University of Georgia. Among Hollowell's other notable achievements were the release of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
