Student Employment
If you are a UGA student searching for a great campus job, employment as a Student Assistant with the University of Georgia Libraries can provide you with a convenient, student-oriented job that will offer you skill building opportunities for future employment.
With almost every department employing students part-time, the Libraries maintains a student workforce of approximately 200. We realize that academics are a priority for you so we offer a variety of times and flexible schedules. Some departments offer the possibility of advancement to Senior Student Assistant positions that could offer you the benefits of higher pay, increased responsibility, and management experience.
Employment Eligibility
If you are registered as a student at the University of Georgia then you are eligible for student employment. Job opportunities exist for you whether or not you are eligible for financial aid.
Under this policy, students from other universities or colleges are also eligible for employment as temporary workers instead of student workers.
Pay Rates
The Libraries offer a starting hourly wage of $11.50 with additional compensation offered based upon the time of day worked and the level of job responsibility. Longevity increases for student assistants are contingent upon funds being available.

Miller Learning Center – If you would like to apply for a position in MLC Security or as an MLC administrative assistant, request a paper application from the administrative office, MLC 373 (open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday). Applications for administrative assistant and security positions can be turned in at MLC 373 during business hours. EITS Student Consultants provide customer service assistance with software and technology in the MLC. Please check Handshake for EITS consultant job postings. The Science Library seeks applications separately from the Main Library. Application forms are available at the Circulation Desk located on the 2nd floor of the Science Library (2-4535).
