Items on 4th floor of the McBay Science Library

Starting Wednesday, November 1, items on the 4th floor of the McBay Science Library will be inaccessible for the remainder of the Fall semester 2023. These items will be temporarily relocated due to the renovation of the 4th floor,  which will replace the building’s original 1968 climate control and lighting systems and improve study spaces for our users. During the relocation process, material on the 4th floor will not be discoverable or requestable in Multi-Search or the Gil-FIND Catalog.

Alternatives

You can use our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) form to request unavailable items from other libraries. Article and book chapter requests take about 1-3 days to fulfill, while physical books can be made available in around 8 days. You can also request physical books from other USG Libraries using our Gil-Express service, which typically takes 3-5 days. You can call (706-542-0643) or email (borrow@uga.edu) the ILL office if you have any questions about borrowing items from another libraries. 

Online Access

We have full-text access to many of the 4^th floor Life Science journals and print books that will be unavailable. Learn more about how to access full-text online via Multi-Search, Google Scholar, and other search tools.
